OUR STORY
Taylor Construction + Design was created out of a 400 square foot garage in Smyrna, GA. With a giant leap of faith and passion for detail and design, founder, Truitt Taylor left the corporate education world to pursue his dream; creating a design/build/woodworking company. A year later, he had outgrown his garage, moved into a new space, created a team and was featured in several design magazines. Truitt took his talent, team and love for building and shifted from custom woodworking into residential contracting.
The Taylor Construction + Design team is an eclectic mix of talented, skilled, creative problem solvers with the belief that a successful "renovationship" requires communication, transparency and delivering a great final product.
Our team currently serves Atlanta and surrounding areas completing additions, kitchen, bath, basement, and full home renovations.

TRUITT
Founder, Residential Contractor
Truitt spent over 10 years in leadership for post secondary education institutions before starting TCD in his garage. Truitt has grown TCD by his passion for skilled trades, detail focused approach, leadership, and development of coworker and overall quality of client experience.
JONATHAN
Lead Craftsman
Originally from Marietta, Jonathan went to UWG and studied economics and marketing. Jonathan joined TCD in 2019 after working in the corporate recruiting and sales underwriter sector. Jonathan has developed into a great craftsman and team leader.
CHARLIE
Lead Craftsman
Originally from Ohio, Charlie has been in the construction industry for over 30 years. He specializes in new construction and remodels. Charlie’s vast knowledge has made him an incredible addition to our team.
LAUREN
Craftsman
Lauren is a Georgia native and graduated from UWG with a BA in Criminology. Before joining our team, she was a police officer in northern GA. In her downtime, Lauren enjoy sports, being with family, and wood working.
NOEL
Project Manager
Noel graduated from The University of Alabama and has worked with previous entrepreneurs on creative and support projects. One of the things that inspired us to bring Noel on was her attention to detail, creative problem-solving abilities and overall attitude to serve others.
